North Curry tea stop - anyone up for organising it this year

Postby wav3ydave » Wed Mar 03, 2010 1:00 pm

I'd quite like to ride this year (haven't done the last two) and in order for that to happen we'd need someone to organise the North Curry tea stop. That's not a difficult job but it is one that involves some cooking and cleaning, and plenty of staying up all night. It takes three people to make it work.

I asked the North Curry peeps if they were up for it but they all like to get an early night apparently

I'm happy for the money generated by the tea stop (and it *does* make some money!) to go back to the people that organise it, minus a cut for the ride funds. getting a quid off everyone for a route sheet at the start just about covers our costs and the ride has a bit of money in the bank - it's not meant to be a revenue generating exercise :D

If anyone's interested, email me at dave@soda-pop.co.uk

Yup!

Baggy and I would quite like to shift tea stop duties for next year but that depends on someone else being prepared to take it on.

Hi guys, I can't ride this year (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=26) and would be up for helping with something. My usefulness is somewhat limited in that I can't drive and I also don't have a mobile. I can cook, though. I'd be coming from London on the day. Can I be of use?

How are things looking on the volunteer front?

My mate who is riding with me is diary intolerant - is the food at North Curry just a big pile of pasta? He doesn't want anyone to change anything for him, just know how much he needs to look out for himself.

<cheap gag>if he's diary intolerant he probably won't show up on the right day anyway</cheap gag>

yeah, pasta and sauce. plus crisps, bananas, biscuits, cereal bars, asda's finest isotonic drink, that sort of thing.

if he has anything he wants to bring to the start i can take it down to north curry, he doesn't need to carry it all the way

If your mate is lucky we'll remember to have some soya milk at the teastops (bottom of Cheddar and Luppit Common).
